The village is expanding, said Michael Havelka, developer of the self-sustaining subdivision, and along with that expansion comes a need for more energy.
To meet the increased need, a 10-kilowatt wind generator is replacing a 3-kilowatt one, and as the village continues to expand, Havelka sees the possibility of another wind generator being added.
The village, which Havelka said is about half completed, is off the grid and uses energy created by its own wind
